must have been in the UK at one time, those are british proofs (BNP - British nitro proof).

'75-'76 on manufacture timeframe. Agree on the British proof marks, could be a G.I. bring-back.

I have a 625-2 with Belgian proofs that I asked about. The letter I got from S&W says it shipped to a brokerage house in England. Seems the consensus is that it's an interesting variation on the normal, but probably not worth a premium.

I think it makes it worth more, but hey, it's my gun.

I don't follow 36's, so I can't help with $$.
