First post.New to me,model 36 S&W revolver serial # J 78 578.Would like to know how old this gun is.I know there are books you can buy this purpose,but I have one gun.
I shoot ATA trap,so I'm a shotgun person.Perrazi,Ljutic,Remington and Browning trapguns.My shooting partner is getting a 4" M19 unfired and in the box for me.

If it only has five digits after the J, then it was shipped in 1969 or 1970.
