Bill, Thanks...
My newest passion is the 57!
(There's not enough .44's & Pre-27's to go around anymore)I appreciate yu're sharing the pic and the details...Nils does nice, detailed work!

I'm still in awe of you're pictures. How do you produce the lighting? (don't tell me, "It's a gift from above!)

J.C. The Model 57 is in a D-flector (see at www.sharpics.com) that produces a white background when the D600 flash on my Nikon D70 is activated (the flash is pointed straight up to avoid any reflection). I edit my photos using Picasa 3, a free download from Google.

Bill,
* Camera - I'm OK
* Sharpics De-Flector - OK
* Flash pointing up - that's the part I've got to work on!

Thanks,
J.C.

Are the Nill grips copies of S&W cokes? Are they as thick as S&W grips?

Thanks,

The Nill stocks are more or less copies of the coke bottle grips of the 50s. They are similar in thickness and have a more pronounced coke bottle shape and are made of walnut rather than Goncalo alves.

Mercy that's pretty..
I have been lookin' for Model 57's for years, but some guy up in the middle of the state keeps grabbin' the nice ones.
I finally managed to scarf up a couple in the last 6 mos after 40 years, but they are nothing like the ones you guys have.
