Default Closest S&W Equivalent?

My absolute favorite handguns are my S&W's (Model 19, Model 10, Model 36). I also have a Ruger Security Six, which I understand was produced to compete with S&W K frames, such as the Model 19. Is the Model 19 about the closest equivalent to a Ruger Security Six in terms of size and weight, or is there another S&W closer in size and weight, such as one of the L frames? The Security Six seems to overall be a little larger and heavier than the Model 19. I don't have an L frame for comparison. Thanks in advance for your input.

The security six is an almost indestructible counter part to the 19/66. They are stouter made, but roughly the equivalent. The newer GP100 was made to directly compete with the L frames.

Here's a Speed-Six with a Mod 19-3 for comparison. G4F pretty much nails it with his reply.

Gun 4 Fun pretty much nailed it! The double action on the Security Six is a bit wonky if you are used to a Smith but they are fine revolver's.

Here ya go! The old colt troopers is what you should be talking about. Same guts as the python, cheaper if you can find them. They fit the same holster as model 10 or 19. They came in .22 lr, (My blue one,), .38 special, (The nickle one) and .357. (Sold mine). I carried a .357 on my job many years. Same action as python, lighter and cheaper.
