25-2 Snubbie
Just picked up a 25-2 snubbie last week myself. The frame on this one is cut to N frame round on the back strap, but still N frame square on the front stap. Whoever did the cut down did a good job, and the trigger pull is very smooth. Have fun with your new snubbie.

As implied by NotreDame's pic, you guys are Lucky Dogs! (jealously rears its ugly head) $550 is an excellent price for such a rare and beautiful treasure. Enjoy 'em!

Thanks guys!
Is it worth getting it lettered?
Notredame, I like the look of the short ejector rod on yours, and the frame looks kind of cool. Neat gun.

I just got this one about a month ago. Had some freckling and a couple of other issues. S&W is fixing the end shake, chamfering the charge holes, recutting the forcing cone, replacing the sideplate screws, and rebluing the gun for a total of $240. Gotta love those guys. I should have it back in a few weeks.

I have a 25 snubnose....
a 325PD! Titanium, scandium. Loaded with 230 grain JHP, sub-sonic rounds; they are perfect for the lightweight of the revolver.
The knife is by Michigan Maker Philip Booth; the mammoth ivory scales are almost black in color.

I picked up this custom 25 from a forum member here. It's my favorite revolver to shoot.

I LOVE it. I have a model 25-2 6 inch and like it but it doesn't have that cool factor.

Oop's, forgot that I'm on probation for another 10 months by my sweetheart of a wife and I'm not knocking her as she is my Sweetheart going on 30 years of marriage Sept. 15th. I've exceeded my 2 gun a year purchase limit by 4 investments (guns).
Seriously sir, that is one FINE S&W!!! My snuff laden drool is all over my computer desk and shirt.

Those are S&W round butt combat grips. I think that style was the last before they stopped making them. I much prefer the older ones with palm swells, rather than the flat sided ones, but hey...I'll take 'em!
I like the combat grips, but I have heard a lot of complaints about how the finger grooves don't fit some...guess it just depends on your hand.
Thanks for the compliments and your kind offer to take this boat anchor off my hands, but I think I'll hang on to this one for awhile.

Excellent looking Jovino you have there!
I just recently had Magna-Port convert this S&W model 28.
There is just something special about a snubnose "N" frame!

Were these snubbie 25-2 originally sq butt? If so when rounded do they cut into the s/n?
I have a pre 10 I would live to round butt, but the s/n is there.

My Magnaport gun was cut down to K frame butt dimensions and it just barely touched the "N" in the serial number on the bottom of the grip frame. I had a Model 65 square butt modified to round butt configuration and it didn't affect the serial number on the grip frame.
