Price Check on M19s - 2½"
I was offered one and in researching prices see them all over the place even considering condition. What would you think a fair market price would be for the 2½" version in excellent condition (at least 90%+)?

$400-500 depending on the vintage, lowest I paid was $300, highest was $500(but that was for the most perfect nickel 19-4)

I recently sold a mint 19-3 here on the forum for $625 shipped. The buyer seemed satisfied.

I think 2 & 1/2 and 4 inch Mod 19's - P&R ones - are as all-over-the-map pricewise as any S&W right now.
I bought two shooter grade 4 inch guns this spring for 500 and sold them for 3 apeice. I thought I did good.
One trip to GB and I felt pretty sick. I just wouldn't pay more than 5 for one even if it had all the candy with it (Box & Docs) and a nice set of wood stocks. That's just me. Deals still come along on a 4 inch K frames and I'll wait.
But as F.T. said he beat that by over a hundred and everyone was happy.
Hobie, I don't think 90% would be an "excellent condition" revolver so around 4 would be tops on that revolver.
Just my .2 cents!

I bought a 2.5" blued 19-3 98%, had been fired, w/box and papers for $450 last year and felt I did pretty good. Prices are all over the place especially if one looks at some of the crazy prices asked and sometimes paid over on the internet sites.
An earlier model would be worth more than a newer vintage. I'd venture that up to $400 would be OK. Depends whats included with the gun as well as how badly you want it.

When people say prices are all over the board they are correct, but there are reasons for that, determined by the specifics of the gun. One like pictured below is worth about $650, which is what I sold it for on the S&W classifieds about 6 months ago.
For newer ones, not pinned and recessed, not mint, no RR or WO, prices would range down to about $400, or below if refinished or rough. The 4" models will not bring as much as the 2.5". We really need more info about the one you are considering to give a closer price. Hope this helps some.

I paid $550 for a 19-3 2.5" (P&R), virtually unfired in the box in Phoenix in February. It was more than I wanted to pay, but I'm glad I got it. You don't see them all that often any more in Arizona.
