Hi, Yesterday I finally picked up this revolver. I have been looking at it for weeks in a local gun store. It is a 3" barrel,nickel,pinned thin barreled 36 with no dash in very good condition! The serial is 1878xx.(No letters) Any idea when this was made? I have spent hours looking. Thanks for any help.

Hi there EDH, if there is no J prefix to your serial number I would hazzard a guess to about 1960-61. The three inch J-frames are nice and one like yours is on my short list!
