Default Perf Center 629 7.5" Comp Hunter

S&W stock #170277. Anybody have any experience with these? S&W web site describes it as having a 2 piece barrel. I assume this simply means the compensator is removable? I bought my wife a Performance Center Model 67 F-Comp recently, after a long hiatus from revolvers in general and S&W in particular. The thing is such a work of perfection I may never buy a non-Performance Center handgun again.

Don't know how it shoots, and can't post pics because I don't have one. That's why I'm asking if anyone else has any experience with them. I'm considering a purchase.

OK, now I get the two piece barrel thing. Anybody know if all the new revolvers are fitted with the two piece, or are they still making some models with the single piece crush fit?

I have the Lew Horton model and it is one sweet shooter. Probably 2000 rounds thru it with no problem.
