Default Lew Horton 5" Model 29?

Don't know age of gun, so sorry if this is in wrong forum.

I was at a gun show recently and somebody was selling a 5" blued Model 29, with a full lug. Said it was a Horton one of (500?), but I didn't notice any markings on the gun to so indicate. Of course, I didn't really look very closely, since I wasn't really looking for a 29. Also didn't really bother to look at condition. Asking price was about a grand, as I recall. Was this gun the real deal? All the Horton's I've seen are 3".

LH is a Distributor. S&W revolvers that were sold through LH never had any special markings. They looked like the same gun sold by any other distributor - although there were special runs that only LH got their hands on.

I do not recall the 5" gun that you are refering to

sounds like a 29 classic from around 1994 or so. my dad has the 6.5 inch blue and i have the 5 inch stainless
reportedly the 5 inch classicin Blue was limited production but i dont think it was LH.

i like how my 5 inch classic balances over his 6.5, if the price was good, jump on it.
