Default Flame cutting???

Anybody ever had a steel magnum revolver that was was shot with full mag loads more than a few hundred times that did not flame cut a little bit? All mine Have some And I do not worry at all. Anybody ever had one that was bad enough to cause a problem? Most seem to indicate that it progresses to a point and then more or less stabilizes? It seem some people freak out when they see that small amount of erosion above the barrel cylinder gap. I contend it is normal and calls for more shooting to black it out

Don't know what to say. I have a 27-2 6 incher that has several thousand rounds of 158 and 200 grain lead driven by a healthy dose of 2400 that exhibits just enough cutting to feel it with a dental pick. I got the gun new. I also have a nickle 29 and 57 that don't show any cutting. I bought the 29 from a foum member as a "as new" gun though I have fired it some. It shows no cut. The 57 was used when I got it and it is my working gun with a bunch of 250 grain powered by 2400 through it; probably more shooting than the 27. The 57 has some cutting but you sure have to look to see it. I am of the opinion that the rest of the gun will wear out before the flame cut becomes a problem.
