Default 686-4 cylinder latch

Just curious, I have 3 686-4's, and 2 of them have the newer style cylinder latch and one of them has the older style latch, does anyone have any information on when they changed cylinder latches, was that one of the last changes made on the -4?

Probably right after you bought the one with the old latch.
PS Both of my 686-4's have the old latch

If you want them all to match I'll trade you a new style for your old style.

1997 was the "official" change date. You may run into some that can be dated to 1996; changes often are not set in stone.
