Pic Request - Ahrends Retro Combats
Hello. I was looking on the Ahrends website and saw that they sell Retro Combat grips in both square and round butt style similar to the old style S&W factory combats. Here is the specific Ahrends website page showing them: Ahrends Grips : Smith & Wesson Retro Grips I know that many people have and love Ahrends grips but all that I have ever seen in pictures on this forum and others are pictures of their regular style grips as seen here: Ahrends Grips : S&W Tactical Grips. Could people who have the Retro Combats please post pictures of them? I really like to look of these and would love to see examples of them. Thanks.

I don't have any, but thanks for posting the link--I think there's a Retro Banana or two in my future.

Thats what I have been looking for to fit my 2.5" snub model 66.
Their oil finished Moradillo round butts look like factory RB combats at less than half the going rate....Has anyone tried adding a set of S&W medallions to these? Does Ahrands offer the option?
Thanks!

Hey, that's gun-related: I once almost had to shoot someone at a Holiday Inn! (Yes, really.)
Nice grips there, too.

Unfortunately all I've got are pix of the Retro Bananas (I'm not a finger-groove fan):

I don't have any pics but I have seen them in person and they are gorgeous in my opinion. I've been trying to get a set for my mod 22 but everyone seems to be out of them.

Note: Mine are Retro Targets!!. Sorry.
Here is my N-frame set on amy 4" 629, with a696 sporting the older square conversion, non-finger-grooved, for comparison:
Here is a set, ordered unfinished and sporting a homebrew oil finish, on my 617:
My favorite grip!

This is the first time I've posted pictures ever, and they're not good, but I think they'll serve to show how nice the tung oiled, maple, round to square conversion, retro combat grips are. They're on my recently purchased 620.
