Default Current revolver prices.

I have not been on the forum for a while. I notice a big gap in revolver prices between where I live (SF Bay Area) and most places. ( Maybe its my imagination ?) What I am saying is , that a lot of times when someone on the forum mentions a deal they got on a Pre Lock revolver. And call it a "Good Buy" , Here in the Bay Area , it would be called more like ' No Brainer" or " ... I 'll buy all I can at that price.." Does anyone else find it true? Is Ca and bay Area that much higher?

Yep... you've discovered both the California and SF Bay Area premiums, all courtesy of our screw ball gun laws... and watch for the same thing to happen with ammo if AB962 that the "Govenator" just signed into law is allowed to stand.

I've bought handguns at prices that would certainly deem me as "certifiable crazy" to folks located outside of CA, but our options are really limited with our asinine gun laws making an "off list" non C&R handgun only obtainable via a private party sale/transfer (if you're not a LEO).

Add in the reluctance of out of state FFL's to ship handguns that are eligible for sale to CA residents, and that narrows down the field too.

The law of supply and demand at work here in the "Golden State"

Every gun owner in CA should move to Idaho. We should all get together and buy a town somewhere out west where its warm and where we can elect gun friendly pols and police. Imagine being able to carry every where and not worry about being hasseled.

Y'all move. Move here to West Virginia. Lowest crime rate and property tax is low. We are a gun friendly state. Most folks carry a gun we just don't talk 'bout it to strangers. Hunters can use rifles to hunt with, not a slug gun hunting state. As they say on that show in the" left coast state" Come on down......................

A lot of Californians have moved to Idaho (and Montana) - many of them found that it wasn't very warm after all.

Come on out to AZ!!! This is the state where the guy was toting around his AR and sidearm when Obama was in town speaking. Not one person bothered him. Media made a big deal about it, but bottom line, nothing he did was illegal in the slightest way. Waiting periods, mag capacity restrictions, no 50 cals, sounds like a gov't that I want no part of.

BTW, AZ has one of the lowest robbery rates in the nation. I wonder why? Could it be that people know there is a good chance that their "victim" is packing heat??
