Which Model 10, 19, & 29 to purchase
I am looking to purchase a model 10, 19 & 29 in 4" blue and I was wondering which dash would be the best. I am going to shoot these but I am looking guns in good shape that I may want to sell later on. I have a 27-3 , 581 & 586 all 4" and I like the 4" better. I know some dashes are better than others and some bring better prices. I am just needing a little help in narrowning down my search. Thanks

generally the P&R guns sell better and at better prices. Not that they are really any better than non P&R guns. Just off the top of my head I think the last dash number for these models that are P&R are 10-8, 19-4 and 29-2. Someone please chime in and correct me if I am wrong with the dash numbers.

The Model 10 was never recessed, as I understand it. The last Pinned models were the 10-5 (standard barrel) and 10-6 (heavy barrel).
You've got it right with the 19-4 and 29-2 being the last P&Red models.
I'd say the 19-4 is probably my idea of the best revision of the 19, since its gas ring is on the cylinder rather than the yoke (my 19-3, with is gas ring on the yoke, accumulates crud inside the yoke/cylinder and makes the cylinder hard to turn).
The 29-2 and earlier 29-3s did not have the "Endurance Package" and would reportedly shoot loose with a steady diet of heavy magnum loads (I don't know how true this is). The 29-3E and 29-4 and onwards have the endurance upgrades, so they'll work better as shooters.

I don't know either. I shot the hooey out of a 29-2 at hunter pistol silhouettes for four seasons and it took the concentrated shooting in stride.
