Nice. Is the one on the bottom in the second photo a 686 with a 66 barrel?

John I would love to have those grips on your Mountain Gun on my 686 5" unfluted instead of the cheap Houges it came with.

Almost didn't open this up when I saw you headline, Bullseye. My keyboard gets drooled on when I see your "L's" but this time I just pulled away from the table. Very well done!

Wow! Nice collection Bullseye. I have had of the M686 Mountain Gun but seen one or even a pic. Very cool. And I always love to see the custom work you have done. Great stuff!

John that's quite a few L Frames you got there..
I'm always interested in your posts about the custom ones you created..
BTW I saw that Numbrich has complete 7 shot cylinder & ratchets for the M242s in 38spl that are titainium for under $60, Thought you might be interested for a future snubby project.. Here's the Link.
Firearm Parts and Accessories | Numrich Gun Parts Corp. | e-GunParts.com
I just finished polishing/cleaning up my 686 & it looks very much like your one with the Uncle Mikes grips minus the fiber optic front sight..
I've gotta ask you two questions..
1) Which one started the madness??
2) Which one is your Favorite??
Inquiring Minds wanna know..

Hey Gary, If I had to pick one it would be the six inch with the power port, I traded a standard 6 inch for it and shoot it every week. The 8 3/8" -5 I just go, it is NIB and will hide in the safe with most of the others. The 5 inch full lug comes in the 2nd spot to be shot. I have way more "K"s than anything else, but the "L" has a special place in the heart for me. Each his own .

First - Welcome to the forum. Now the "K" and "L" frame use the same stocks (GRIPS) so they fit the hand the same, the "L" weight is more than the "K" so if your hand and arm is weak you will need to get use to the "L" frame.
