Default RB vs. SB Comparison

I asked this a long time ago and didn't get any takers, but I'm going to try again. I am looking for a very specific comparison of the two grip frames, by way of pictures that are to scale, or Autocad drawings if possible. Does anyone know if such a thing exists? The reason I need these is for my dad for templates for making grips. I was able to get him a SB frame that had been cut in half, but he doesn't have anything for a RB template. If pictures or Autocad aren't available, does anyone know of a good source for a cut up RB frame? Thanks in advance for any info!

They're out of stock right now, but these might be useful. Another option would be to use a set of fatory RB grips for a template. You might be able to lased scan them for CAD. If all else fails, just buy a RB gun, get what you need, and sell it (or keep it and enjoy).

That looks pretty good, thanks very much! I have several RB guns, but he wants something he can sand/grind/work on without worrying about wrecking the gun. He could use this to make a metal template if nothing else.

I thought this was the answer I was looking for, but it turns out he already found this a while ago and decided it wasn't going to work. Still on the lookout for a source for a chopped RB frame or equivalent.

When I got this they had tried to convert to a round butt:

I took a set of round butt stocks and put on the gun and took a scrap and when about 1/16 of a inch around the stocks to mark the frame then went from there.

If you can find another chopped K frame, you could round butt it and use it as your template.

That would also work, but it would help to have a CAD or scale picture of the true RB frame dimensions since the grips will all vary slightly (actually, the frames probably will too).
