I have been away from the revolver for deer hunting for over 15 years. It is good to have this back in my lap as I relax in the woods. Season opener was slow as it was mild and crops are still up. Legal in southern Michigan and we still have the late doe season to experiment with loads. Here she is on my bench in the backyard.

That should be one hec of an accurate revolver! I have a 6 1/2" Classic that is the most accurate 44 I have owned. I have the same base/rings as you have on your DX. Good luck with the deer hunting.
