Do a search on Demooning tool and you will find all kinds of stuff. Maybe not a flashy as a factory job, but will get the job done.
The range of brainpower and ingenuity on subjects like this on the Forum is amazing.

Here's one I made. This is about the third version and it incorporates a demooner ring which is a shameless ripoff of a commercial design. The basic tool is my own design and is constructed from scrap aluminum I had around the shop.

I took a look at all that expensive stuff and ordered the RIMZ "plastic' moonckips instead. Works fine; load, unload with your fingers. Check this link and do as you please, but you can get some of these cheap and try 'em.

I was a skeptic newbie with the a few years ago.
I tried a lot of variations, which all work to some degree.
This one serves my needs very well. Although I *do* have the older single-ring model like the red one posted above. Get the multiple adapters and enjoy.

You can make one like that from a piece of 1/2" copper tubing..
I made one for my 9mm/38 Super/9x21/9x23 from a scrap of 3/8" & it works like a charm.. I've also seen were guys make them from a scrap golf club handle..

4864 - That looks like a great deal. Unfortunately many other people must have also liked it because it is out of stock. I will keep looking. Thank you for your post.
And everyone else who has taken the time to post an idea.

The best and cheapest moon clip tool is a piece of half inch copper pipe with half of it's diameter cut off of one end for about a quarter of an inch. I have been using one for years. If you would like to spend a lot of money on one, go ahead.
Keep your powder dry.

Best because it's cheapest maybe? Does it load the clips? Can it demoon more than one cartridge at a time? Is it readily adaptable to load other calibers? Does the copper bend and wear?
Maybe it's best for you but it sure isn't for me. Utility, not money, was the deciding factor for me. So far, it's cost me about $5 a year and falling each day.

This one is expensive, But it really does work well. I got one in a trade and it is an awesome tool. I would not have paid what they wanted for it prior to using it. But because it serves me with all my moon clip guns (5 shot 6, 7 & 8 shot) I would not hesitate buying one now. It is worth the money.

Im going to try using a pipe with inside diameter as shell, drill small hole through one end insert a pin/clip lenth of shell. That side is for loading other side for unloading. I found a video of someone using it with a plastic can. Search you tube for moonclip tool or make moonclip and you will see. Sorry im late for work or I would get the link. Good luck. thanks very much for the other recomendations, I will probably order one in meantime. Rubber fingers from accounting or wrap with carboard from paper towel, toilet paper roll cardboard is working good for me in meantime thanks again.
