Wondersight , I have them on a couple S&Ws, 38/44 and a 44 special, great for the lightweight loads that shoot low. 125s & 180s.

I have several new ones and an original (different knurling on knob and different mounting screw head)
They work great.

The original ones from the '50s were slightly different, as mentioned.

strange how I'm forced to respond to the promo in their ad:
* Fast and easy installation with the addition of one small tapped hole easily and quickly completed with a drill press - instructions provided
[maybe we have discovered a use for the IL hole]
* Inexpensive, minimally obvious alteration that won't weaken revolver frame as other options may
[what would the corporate litigators say about this now?]
* Highly functional and improved sight picture is usable with original front sight
[I usually see better from the non-adjustable style]
* Traditional! Seen on revolvers for over 50 years!
[I've NEVER seen one on ANY revolver over the past 50 years!]

I purchased a Wondersight a couple of years ago. The sight portion interfered with the frame of my 22-4. It appears S&W changed the frame to accommodate the new firing pin.
The owner did not seem very excited about modifying the sight for the new models. In fact he seemed disinterested in the Wondersight.
At that time the url was
http://www.peak.org/~wapiti/fdlsight/sightwork3.htm
It now produces a 404 error
