Found another 3" 625-3 *pics added*
I've owned a couple in the past and have let them go for one reason or another. I haven't been doing much with guns or posting on the forum due to health issues over the past few months. Anyway, I was on the road for business and spotted this 3" 625 last night. I tried really hard to convince myself that I didn't need it. But then again it's been quite awhile since I've bought any S&W's. I decided to go back today and now it's mine. I've got to wait until it arrives in state but hope to post a couple of photos in a week or so.

Hey Ken- I'll do my best!
I've got the moon clips loaded and ready to go. Probably won't get it until next weekend or the following week.
I appreciate everyone sharing my excitement. I'll get those photos up as soon as I pick it up.

Couldn't wait, had to get it picked up.
First thing to go was the original Pachs, replaced with Compaqs.

The first gun I ever owned. Still have it. I'll probably be buried with it....

It appears that everyone likes to show off their 3" 625's.
I'm sure there are a few more out there that we haven't seen yet...
I was able to get to the range today on my lunch hour.
I had some Federal Hydra-Shock and Remington Golden Sabre ammo loaded into moon clips. Only had time to shoot about 50 rounds. Still smilin' though.
Also put about 100 rounds through my next most recent acquisition, a 2" 63-3. Just as fun but with a whole lot less recoil.

Dghuppert, are the Pachmayr Compacs something new? I tried N-frame Compacs on my 625 years ago and they did not fit properly. I was told that the grip frame on the 625 was different than the other S&W N frames and the Compacs would not fit. As I recall the action spring interfered with the grip screw.
Do you know for shure that the new Compacs fit?

The three inch 625 is one of a very few guns I'd sell my 3 inch Model 65 to own.

If you do not need the power of the 44 Mag, then IMHO, a 45 ACP S&W revolver is one of, if not the best choice, for a big bore revolver.
