What makes it a 626, as opposed to a 624 with plated parts, a trigger job, and a bead-blasted frame? Is the frame aluminum alloy, rather than steel?

I think having gold teeth might improve the aesthetics of this gun

I just checked the seller's feedback and saw that Model 19 he sold for $1000. The guy who bought that has more money than brains.

That may not be a very large stack of pennies.

I guess that makes the 624 the blue alloy version?

Heh, if only they were S&W autoloaders, that might actually be true. But there IS a Model 624--all stainless, .44 Special. "426" might fly, though...except that S&W's got their numbering scheme all messed up over the past half century...

I have to admit that I am partial to .44 Special revolvers. I have felt that only the most intelligent and sophisticated shooters will own .44 Specials. Now if that so-called 626 revolver were $500, I would buy it and never let it see the light of day again.

However, if when I retire I decide to buy a Cadillac and become an entrepreneur in the field of providing the rental services of young professional ladies, that gun might compliment my business clothes.
