Default 629 find

Picked up this 629-1 today. This is my second 629 and came with a 1x Burris scope marked "Gil Hebard Guns" on the eyepiece. I traded a T/C Contender for it that had a rough trigger. I would have never bonded with the Contender but I feel I'll bond with this revolver just fine. I did Flitz it up a bit and will shoot it ASAP after I load up some ammo.

Respectfully,
Joeygun

Joey;
I have a Gil Hebard Burris scope on MY model 29 (8 3/8" barrel) and have had for many years. Gil developed the "big dot" and was the sole source of supply for several years. I believe it is one of the absolute best hunting scopes of all times. It has a wide field of view and the big dot seems to just "suck the reticle" into the proper place for a clean kill.

My deer hunting special!!

Thanks, Don.

Dale, the scope definitely has a large, several MOA dot. I have been looking through it alot and I can see why you like it.

I have to tell you guys I am really excited about this revolver and the scope. I believe the -1's were made from 1982-1988 which was a time in my youth when I read every free Smith and Wesson catalog and dreamed of owning all sorts of guns someday.
