What are you hoping for from Santa???
Let's hear what you hope to find under the tree later today or tomorrow!!
I'll start it off - basically any S&W revolver I don't already have. Any .44 Special, or a large framed .357 would be cool but I'd be delighted with any "6 shooter".
How about you guys?

It won't be any gun as I just bought an early Christmas present a few weeks ago by getting a Model 629 no dash with 4 inch barrel. I'm hoping for a new set of camo polar fleece hunting clothes.

I've also gotten my own gift, Ladysmith 2 edition & a M66-7. I'll be happy if Santa doesn't fill my stocking with "bio-logs". I'd rather he just took my Dodge/CTD to the fuel depot! LOL!

I know of a few things that will be there, a Leupold range finder, a hunting knife, new combats for my M60, a DVD on the history of S&W and a turkey call.

Time?? Good luck with that.
Must confess, I too got a present for myself recently, a Mod 64, NY-1 variation. But a guy can still hope can't he?

I am hoping for ammunition... specifically .38 Special, .40 S&W and .45 ACP. If I can just get some primers, powder and bullets, I can just load these rounds. I already have lots of .22 LR so my M-18 gets plenty of use, but I would very much enjoy getting to shoot my other handguns.

I bought a 4006 for myself, so a nice carry holster would be cool.
How about a present to all of us? Like maybe, going to the gun store and finding ammo shelves full again, and at the prices they were last year?! Now that would be a nice Christmas present.

"A new president"
+1 on that plus all the crooked Senators who were paid off for their vote on health care deform. Number one on the list is the nard from Nebraska.
Alternately, I'd like one of Vltor's new Bren Tens at the price point originally quoted.

A new job... or a big $$$ grant for starting a business - I need display counters & racks, a store front (stand alone building so I can build a annexed indoor shooting range right there), and inventory - lots of inventory... I will call it.... Maricopa Firearms dot com - now where is Santa? (I wish big sometimes)

I don't expect much especially since we don't even have a tree.
I usually wait until I get to mom's house Christmas day before
I get in the holiday mood. I just picked up a 1959 M-18 Monday
and on the 31st I pick up a Marlin M62 in 30 carbine so I'm good
this month. I want a new president, governator and senators, being
I'm stuck in CA. Arnold has given me until Feb 2011 to buy ammo
without stupid restrictions so that is what 2010 holds.

Santa would make me very happy if he could get me a BATF determination that the Model 547 now enjoys C&R status, which means that I will be able to bring into California the one I just bought. But I won't get a timely determination on this question, so I think Santa may have to run a second delivery a few months from now if I am going to get my wish.
I have a belated Christmas present to myself coming next week -- a shooter-grade prewar Heavy Duty that has some nice history to it. Pics as soon as.
Merry Christmas to all.

I want a Prewar Registered Magnum with nice magna grips and a blued finish. And in keeping with the Christmas spirit I want it to have a star right by the serial number.
I have an extremly strong suspicion that Santa will not dissapoint.
We'll see...
Roger (Merry Christmas everyone)

Need Advice
Col Defender;
Have chance to buy two 66-1 S&W SS revolvers. One a 4" 357 Combat Magnum with the TT, TH, and T stock . The other is a 6" with an ST stock. The owner wants about $400 each. Pretty sure they've not been fired and have the original boxes and instructions. Monies tight at Christmas and trying to decide which to buy. Thanks Dg

Need Your help. Deciding between 2 S&W 66-1's, both stainless. One is the Combat Magnum with a 4" barrel with the TH, TT, and T stock. The other is a 6" with the ST stock. Which would you recommend?

I hope for another good year for my wife and myself. I hope for good health for our kids and our grandkids. I really am grateful that this year has been good for us. Sure, I want "stuff" but I'll settle for what I said above and be grateful if it comes true.
Merry Christmas to all of you and Happy Holidays.

I have been extremely lucky and got my Christmas present to me back from Colt this afternoon. It is my instructor's BUG and off duty gun that he would only allow me to shoot.I sent it to Colt for Royal Bluing and internal part replacement in August because of rust formation under the grip and multiple light hits.Colt had said that they wouldn't have it finished until January but it came here today right before Santa's arrival.I did a write up in the revolver section 1961 to 1980 with pictures. The job came out perfect so it was worth the heartburn......God Bless...Mike
