Default Custom 617

Has anyone ever had a 6" 617 cut down to a 3 or so inch length? Is there someone who specializes in this type of custom work on S&Ws?

Hamilton Bowen does very, very good work. He should be able to cut, recrown, install new front site, restamp, etc...

Default Look at a M317-1 Instead

Hey!

If you can put up with six shots, the M317-1 comes in a 3 1/2 inch target version option on a J frame. They are available. Add a nice set of target grips and speed loaders! A friend has one and it's really fun to shoot!

You would save a bunch of cash in the gunsmithing labor.

Regards,
