I just put 20 rounds down range of 38+P short bbl out of my brand new 442. Once I got used to the trigger pull, I could put 3 rounds around the 9 ring. I then shot double taps at a silouette target. I shot these fairly fast just using the front site. All 5 shots were potential stops. I am very pleased with this little revolver. I like it better than my M&P 360. I know the 442 is only 1.7 ounces heavier, but I really noticed a reduction in felt recoil between the two revolvers. The 360 hurt my thumb with 38+P's, but the 442 was actually fun to shoot. From now on, I'm sticking with this airweight for CCW. I can't believe how much easier this gun is drawn from the pocket. Don't have to cover the hammer with my thumb. I learned a really great lesson practicing with my J frame today. I pulled the trigger only half way through before letting it reset. The gun obviously did not go bang. I had to reset the cylinder, and begin firing again. Glad that this happened today as a learning experience. From now on I'll be sure to pull that trigger strong all the way through.
