Default Get a grip! Re finishing grips?

In the few years I've been doing this, I haven't had a set of stocks re-worked.
For whatever reason ,probably because my time and money went into accumulating revolvers and ammunition so I could shoot I just never really focused on grips.

I've had a couple pair that I thought would benefit from some magic ,at least that is what it seems like to me. I don't work well with wood.

I sent these to V.M. last week and received them back yesterday. To say I was ecstatic would be an understatement. I got wood.

Here are the pictures to the best of my photographic abilities. Kudos to Mike ,his attention to detail and creating the appearance of originality.

Plain jane N walnut targets, these were dogs, the only good thing was the checkering.

K rosewood presentation targets. These came on a shooter K-38 that I bought for $325. then later sold for $300. They were a mess.

And the coup'de grace, would be the K ,no relief Goncalo Alves presentation targets. Complete with coke bottle palm swell.
Mounted here on a 4 screw K-22.

Have a safe beginning to the new year , Allen Frame

Having had a few friends inspect these in person ,they could not tell that these were not ,new old stock.

A few more pair are going out soon ,,,

VM took the set on the right in the first picture, and on the left in the second picture, and turned them into the set in the third and fourth pictures for me (they are all pictures of the same set). He has done several other sets for me as well. He really is the man when it comes to re-finishing stocks.
