Default Help me pick. 627 Pro Series or 627 PC.

Will be used for informal target shooting and home defense. Is the current 627 PC worth the extra $200 or so?

Not sure if the PC is worth the extra $ but it should have a few more features then the pro. I have the PC version and I love it. One of my favorate guns. Larry

PC model has forged parts vs. MIM parts. Much better.

I have owned both. They are both great. But I prefer the 627 Pro Series. I prefer the 4" barrel over the 5" barrel. Both are cut for moonclips which is great. The action of the PC is slightly better than the Pro but not by much at all. But it is not enough to justify the difference in the price over the Pro. I would get the Pro Series.

Faced with the same decision a few weeks ago I opted for the Pro and a $10 Wolff spring kit. I did a bit of polishing on the MIM action parts and have a very nice trigger. I'm very satisfied with my decision.

I added the Ahrends and the FO front sight, total cost about $100. Bought the 627 Pro for $750+tax. At least $200 cheaper than the PC gun, even after the upgrades.

I have both. The Pro has a 4" barrel and the PC is 5". After I got done with the triggers, they were as close to identical as I could get. Both shoot very well. I will keep both.

I just bought a brand new 627 Pro this morning...it's a great choice for the money. You really can't go wrong with either one. However, I don't believe the differences justify such a sizable price disparity (plus I prefer the 4" barrel)...but it's only one man's opinion.

Have fun with your new firearm - whichever one you choose!
