I have 2 sets of the LaserMax J grips and this is the first time I noticed that they are only for round butt pistols. I think that short of modifying your square butt to round butt configuration, you won't be able to use the LaserMax grips on your pistol:
B-Square makes a laser mount for the J-frame pistol that mounts via the side plate screw and places the laser under the barrel. What results though is not very sleek, and looks like it wouldn't hold up well to the bumps and bruises that a carry gun gets.
Borrowing this old thread as having a headache with the exact same problem. Has anyone solved this? As stated in the topic J-frame and square butt as in the picture below.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...1.jpg~original
Mod is 63-3 22LR. Has anyone tried customizing crimsontracers succesfully? all viable suggestions how to solve this problem are more than welcome!
I use a laserlyte side mount laser. You might havta clearance the right side grip (or is it stock?) a bit but it's better than trying to modify the grip frame.
Seems like a very viable option! Now just need to find a place where to buy em and rubber grips aswell as having the stock wooden grips. Thank you very much!!
