Default Looking for a specific .22 revolver

about 20 years ago I remember my mom's boss at the time showing me a S&W .22 revolver that he got and was justifiably proud of it. If memory serves me correctly, it was probably a K frame, blued, 6 shot (I think) and what I specifically remember is that it had a heavy barrel. If I'm not nuts, what model would this be as I'd love to find one.

Most likely a Model 17.

It could also be a M18. Both are very nice guns. Don

Hi the Model 17-5 had the heavy barrel also the 17-4 came out with the heavier barrel around 1986 on there 4" barreled guns if this helps...

IIRC it looked like HAWKEYE10's 17-4 but with a 4" barrel. I think I'm on the right track now.
