You will like that gun. I bought myself a #625-3 4" model of 1989 many years ago for $250.00. It is my favorite stainless N frame.

Great find ! I had a 4 inch 625 at one time, they are great shooters. If you plan on reloading for it I'd recommend you get some .45 auto rim brass then you won't have to mess with moon clips, etc.

One of the things that attracts me to the 625 is the moon clip. That plus the fact that I can load the same round that can be also be used in my 457 or 4516 I have no use for the auto rim. YMMV.

Won't have to mess with moon clips? Don't you mean, he won't have to mess with loose brass? I'm just sayin'...Auto Rim is for the end of the world when I'm out of demooners, all my moonclips are bent and O-zombies are knocking over the chest of drawers I've pushed in front of the door . . .

Well, I find uses for BOTH the .45 ACP AND .45 Auto Rim. Use whatever spins your propeller.

For general range use I prefer the Auto Rims. For quick reloads, there is NO substitute for steel full moon clips.

If I am going to use .45 ACP cases for general range use, then the poly RIMZ clips are definitely the way to go (no tools needed).

I use all three methods when circumstances dictate. THAT is getting the most out of this versatile platform.

Congratulations! I'm sure you already know what a fantastic price that is for a hard to find revolver. Might as well pick up a bunch of moon clips, 625's are very fun to shoot.
