Default Action Holster for 627 Performance Center 5"

S&W is offering a leather holster for the 627 PC 5" barrel, as is Blade-Tech. Looking to mix up the Action Shooting with an 8-shooter rather than the usual autos. Anybody have any experience or thoughts on the best way to go to drag this out of a holster in a hurry? Thanks!

Default Holster for PC 627 V-Comp

I have the two tone model of this .357. I recently got a Safariland Competition holster for it. Look here:

I didn't like the techno-skeletized versions available, so I had a local leathersmith custom fabricate what I wanted.

Belt & holster came to $100 total, a great deal.

By chance (*kaff*kaff*) the holster will properly mount ANY 4" S&W N frame...give or take an inch of barrel. AND I can wear it in the woods, in a variety of shooting disciplines, and feel comfortable where ever I may wear it.

I've got to admit, the guys running the techno versions do draw faster than I do....but they also shoot faster, move faster, and in general are just more kinetically active....

For me, the speedo style holster isn't going to make enough difference between a 3 second stage and the leisurely pace I can move anyway.

I use a Safariland 002 also. Low tech, but if you lose a tenth to the skeletonized holsters I'd be surprised.

Red face Thanks for the ideas / experiance

Thanks Guys - this is very helpful. At my age I'm not worried about tenths, just want to be able to get the thing out without flossing myself :-)
