Default 629-4

I'm new to the forums. I have a S&W 629-4 and I was wondering if anyone had any other info on the gun.

Default Welcome to the Forum!

That's a nice snub, I have a couple that are similar, but not the same.

I am not positive, but I think that is a Lew Horton gun.

You can contact them for verification at:

[email protected]

Send the ser# and they can tell you year manufactured and number made if it is one of theirs.

Someone will be along shortly to correct any mistakes I made. ;D

ETA I forgot to say, if you post the s/n with the last two digits xx'd one of the fine peop;e here can probably look it up in the SCSW.

I am looking to sell it but I'm not certain what it's worth.

Default Watch out....

I think your mailbox is going to fill up pretty fast. I just answered another posters inquiry on value of his 629-4 in a similar configuration.

Yours is more desirable; if my eyes aren't deceiving me you have a longer ejector rod than is usually found on the 3 inchers. These are a bit harder to find, and although the market is down from highs in the last couple of years, I wouldn't be surprised if you saw offers in the high 3 figures, maybe even more.

You can go to the auction sites and search completed auctions, that can be a good indicator of true value on the open market.

Nice gun, I'm tempted to shoot you a pm myself

I just heard back from Lew Horton and they confirmed that it is one of 135 they made in Oct 96.
