Talking New Herrett's on my 686+

I've been wanting a set of Herrett's stocks for my 6" 686+, and I found these on a local trader. They are Herrett's Shooting Stars (I believe) and they are great! Now it looks much better than with the Goodyear grip on it

Very nice! I have always been a fan of Herretts. I always buy them when I see a pair.

These are a little smaller than I prefer but in general they feel very good. Eventually I'd like to get a set of Troopers for it, but these will do nicely in the mean time. I figured I've got a nice gun, got me a nice holster for it, but the rubber grip just had to go

I shoot a lot of double action and the Herretts work well for me. Also like the Hogue rubber grips for DA shooting. Larry

I always felt these run a bit long at the bottom of the grip frame, but they compliment your long barrel and heavy underlug nicely. I have a set for a J Frame and am considering shortening them even with the bottom of the grip frame.

I have a set of vintage Herrett's Shooting Stars on my M 19, and I really prefer them to the bulkier targets.
