Default 617's and Aguila Ammo Tight in Ejection after shooting Remington Golden's??

I went to the range today and was shooting both my 617's 4and 6 inch barrel 10 round. I started with Remington Golden Bullets and switched after a few reloads of the cylinder to the 30 grain Supermaxium Hyper Velocity 1,750 fps Aguila .22's, to try them out. After 10 rounds I went to eject and they were really tight and I had to push really hard to get them out. I then had the same thing happen with the other 617. In looking at the brass cases the Remington was a tad bit shorter than the Aguila's which had a longer brass case by a bit more than 1/16th of an inch. All I can guess is I should of used the longer cased Aguila first as the longer case was hanging up in the dirt created by the shorter Golden Remingtons. Anyone ever had this problem and is my diagnosis right? Maybe in the future I should shoot the longer cased ammo first or clean the cylinder after the shorter cased ammo, any comments would be appreciated. Thanks,

I think that you've pretty much nailed the cause. I've found that after about 100 rounds downrange with my 617 it will start to get a touch sticky on extraction and reloading requires a push to seat a new round in the chamber, and that's without mixing ammunition. If you start shooting with a mix of case lengths, it can only make the probelm worse unless you start out shooting the longer case length and finish with the shorter case length.

Tight chambers in a K22 is a pretty common occurrence. I have been told a nylon brush is a great item to take to the range. I keep forgetting to pick one up, but eventually I'll remember.

A quick push through every 3 or 4 cylinders full does wonders with mine. That is a small price to pay for those tight chambers and the fine accuracy they produce.

I've had the same problem with Federal AutoMatch in my 617. I could run Remingtons in it all day with no problem. Live and learn, stay away from what doesn't work.

I have the same situation with my 63 no dash with any ammo brand (refuse to call it a problem)
I feel as already said its a small price to pay

My K22 gets hard to extract after about 4 cylinders full through it but my 17-4 seems to go a lot further before tightening up like 20 or so. It’s just the nature of the beast and because they are so much fun to shoot I never really think about it.
