Default New To Me 66-2

Here it is in it's pristine condition. Just picked it up, so no range report yet.

That's a nice Model 66-2 you've got there! I like those grips. Did they come on the gun-or, did you pick them up somewhere? If so, where?

Congratulations on the purchase of the Model 66 and it is a great revolver. I love the grips to and I wonder who made them because I've never seen a factory set like these before and to me they look like an expert job of reworking a set of target grips.

The grips are really what caught my eye. That reddish hue is so different than what's on my 10-5s. They came with the weapon which I bought at a fun show. So I can't even go back & ask the seller where they came from.

Range Report:

First six rounds scored 58/60 from about 15 yards away.
4 bullseyes (40 pts)
2 within the "9" (18 pts)

Did the exact same with my 4" 10-5, so there was no need to do any adjustment on the sights.

Sorry - didn't take any pics of the targets before I had fun just blasting holes in them. Finished off 50 rds of .357 mag winchester white box (110 gr sjhp) - 50 rds Yurko made ammo (125 gr jhp w/ 7 gr titegroup) & 150 rds of Yurko made .38 spl ammo (125 gr jhp w/ 4 gr titegroup)

Lotsa fun & an absolutely beautiful day to boot (pert near 65 degrees).

What more could ya ask fer???

Smile 66-2

Great shooting and gun addition. I've got one looks very similar, same grips I think.

Nope, after looking at them they are nicer than mine.

Similar grips? Were your custom made? If so, where'd you get'em?

Bigun & fyimo said mine are custom. But I bought the gun at a fun show, so I have no way of asking the seller where they came from.

By the way, thanks for the compliment - almost forgot to add this
