Default 500 standard rear sight

I have a friend who recently purchased a used 500 with a scope. He wants to remove the scope, but I do not know were to help him get an original rear sight. It looks like the slot for the sight is the same as the one on my 686. I hope you very learned gentlemen and ladies can help. All advise appreciated.

Call S&W, I'm betting they have a rear sight assembly in stock, especially since the 500 is currently in production.
