Default Differences in the 29-2

I was wondering since the model 29-2 spans from the early 60's to the early 80's what are the big differences in quality and price of these guns?I understand that the older a 29-2 is the more desireable it is, so it's worth more. What about the ones that were manufactured towards the end of the -2 run (early 1980's)? Are they just as good? How is their value comparitively? I'm talking the basic 6" or 6.5" blued gun. Thanks for the thoughts and comments.

Other than the stocks (I might be wrong) the 29-2 are all the same. The -2 is a revision number.

The older stocks had more of a hour glass appearance when viewed from the rear.

The -3 had the 6" barrel.
