Default 629 V-Comp questions

Hi All,
First post on this forum but not new to forums and know full well to search first ask later. I've searched here and a couple other S&W forums and find it near impossible to come across info on the 629 V-Comp. I'm pretty set on the 4.25" V-Comp and would really appreciate help with the following:

1) In April 2010, is $1100 a low, reasonable or high price for a NIB 629 V-Comp?
2) First-hand experience; how much different is felt recoil and muzzle flip on the V-Comp compared to a similar length barrel 44mag? Just wondering. Not that it matters because I like the "ugly factor" look over any functionality it would offer. :-)
3) If anyone has one, what accessories would you recommend if any? Sights, grips, trigger work, etc.?

One other thing: If I could have been more successful with searches, does anyone have keyword tips or links to previously posted info?

Thanks in advance
