Default 29-3 nickel price

I have found a 29-3 nickel 6 inc. unfired in box. Asking 1350. Original stocks. Looks to be mint. Should I jump on it

This is a local buy. Not online. Private seller. It looks brand new.

I'd try to get them to come down some. In my opinion, an unfired 29-2 could fetch $1350. But, it's a bit on the high side for a -3.

Are you a collector who will keep it unfired for your heirs ? I'd rather pay ~$800 and have a shooter; never been one to collect pretties new in a box. Not many used 29's that have been shot loose and they still look as new.

That's what I was thinking. I offered 1100 and they wouldn't budge. Think I'll pass on it. Just wanted another opinion. I even told him a -2 would be worth it but a -3 isn't. Not old enough to be pinned and recessed. Not new enough to have the endurance package.

I'm a collector that shoots my collection. I don't really need another 44 anyway. Just happened upon it and didn't want it to get away if the price was right

And for that reason, I don't own a 29-3 or, a 629-1.
