625s in 45 Colt ,my grail guns. Lots of pictures.
Thanks to fellow forum member 'N frame' , I finally acquired a 625-6 ,P.C. in 45 COLT ctg.
Serial prefix is ,CLT ,it is the older brother to my 625-7
Light Colt Hunter.
I had to clean them both the other day ,so I took some pictures.
I REALLY dig these guns.
The grips on these two are custom made for me by my good friend
and forum member V.M. they fit perfectly, and really set off the pair.
, ,Thanks Mike!,
These guns are not just for looking at. They get fired.
The whole family , all 625s ,in 45 Colt.
Heres to hoping you find YOUR grail guns.
Regards ,, AlleN-Frame

Looks like you need a distant cousin the 625 MG to fit into the family. Nice guns, I love my MG in 45 colt.

JNewell ,I know. I just bid on a 5" 625-5 SDS , and did not come close.
It seens everyone who has one of these thinks they're made of gold.
One day ,I'll have a 5" and ,a 4" P.C. custom build tucked in there.
Good luck ,, Allen Frame

Now you need to find.....
One of these.....
The full lug Lew Horton M625 Hunters.....
This one has one of those funny "protuberances" on the hammer as well.... of well, we can't all own the latest and greatest, some of us just suffer with old designs.....

The way those barrels are cut...they look great! What are the details on the barrels? Who did the work and where can I find more pictures? How do I get one?

Well , Rob ,if you want to trade that monster for one of my
3" model 66s'
just let me know.
I'm sure we can iron out the details.
230therapy ,,,the slab side barrel is a signature of the
Smith and Wesson Performance Center.
Many of the P.C. guns have unusual barrel profiles.
Pick up a 'Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson' 3rd. edition
and go nuts in chapter 10.
Good luck ,,Allen

There's one for sale at a shop I know of, but it's just under $1K, although it's listed as NIB. I paid half that for mine...

Allen,
I'm glad its got a good home! It was just sitting on the shelf next to a 629 and a couple other N frames that never get shot anymore.
Enjoy!
