1989+/- S&W Model 36-6
Anyone have one of these 3" underlugged J-frames? Seems to have matte blue finish.
Is yours accurate - what kind of groups, please? Other comments welcome.
Regards,
Dyson

Yes, I have a 36-6, and it very accurate. Weight and balance is near perfect for a trail gun, and with (non +P) 158 gr will shoot around 2" at 25 yards. Mine is nearly as accurate as my Pre27. The matte finish is a little tender, (easy to scuff up).
One of lmy favorite S&W's.

You may want to also look for a 60-4, which is an identical gun but in Stainless.

I have a model 36-1 with a flat latch. To tell the truth I have not fired it yet. I think they are neat guns. Don

36-6
Yes, HAWKEYE10, I agree that the 3" barrel makes a nice package.
H Richard - Interestingly, the dealer has also a 60-4 but is very proud of it indeed. Last fall I passed on another 60-4 because I had just gotten a 2" fixed sight Model 60, my first 38 J-frame. Also, that earlier 60-4 seemed loose in the lock up.
Thanks for the insights.
