Default revolver history?

Can someone give me the history of this revolver. I purchased it 5 years ago for steel shooting but moved, and no steel shooting in my new location. So now it sits in the safe. I want to know more about it.
Performance center 627 8 shot, 357 Mag. frame firing pin, no lock, it came in an Alum case with the numbers P1574-05 stuck to it. Slab sided BBL. 5 inch. Looks like hogue combat finger groove grips. serial number RJM0081.

I know some one out thers can help.
Thanks, Tim

Sounds like one of the 8-shot 627-2s made for Lew Horton in 97-98.

This was one of the first N-frames that had the frame mounted firing pins. Does it say, ".357 Magnum 8 More" on the right side of the barrel?

If the case has the end label, it should have Product Code: 170089 on it.
