Default HOW COMMON ARE MODEL 63s ?

Hello,

I just saw a Model 63 with a snubbie barrel...don't remember exact length...for the first time on AA.

Does anyone know how common they are...the various barrel lengths...the history and anything else, like what they are generally worth.

The one I saw looked just as solid as my Model 65-3

The trigger on the one I saw was oddly shaped...like it was reinforced on one edge. Mistook it for a 2-stage trigger at first look.

Thanks,

Bob

The Model 63 is a great plinker. Bought mine less than a year ago while waiting for a 617 to arrive (took almost 3 months ) Really enjoy both of them.

I purchased a new 63 ND 4-inch around 1980 and still have it. It's the first out of the case at the range! I wouldn't mind having a 2-inch for J-frame snub practice before shooting my J-38s but they seem to be a bit pricey.

I have a 4" 63 and would like to find a 2". I don't know about production quantities, but if you can get it for a reasonable price, go for it. I don't think you will be disappointed.
