Default Pictures of my new Model 64 & 629-3

Well, I could not get the voices out of my head. These two guns kept calling out to me so I went and bought them. I think I am in love with the Model 64. What a sweet shooting little darling it is. And at $255 plus tax I think it was a great deal.

I may have paid too much for the 629-3 but find I like it a lot also. Shot both of them today. The grips on the 629 are absolutely pristine. No boxes though .

I took the pictures after shooting but before cleaning. Do not hold your breath waiting for pictures of cleaned guns.

I bought a couple other guns this week but these two are making me think I should focus on stainless steel S&W revolvers for a while.

Thanks to the members who offered advice on these. I think I will be starting the LIST than Stainz mentioned so I can use my time and money wisely as I hunt for more guns.

I never thought i'd be a big S&W guy....guess I was wrong....lol

Dregg,

The 629 was $669 plus tax.

Like you, I never thought I would become a S&W person, let alone a revolver fan. Shooting a K-22 caused an instantaneous conversion. I have a Ruger Super Blackhawk that has seen very little use. I know I will put more ammo through the 629 in the next few months than went through the Ruger in over 30 years.

If you're in too deep on the 44 it's only by a little. I wouldn't sweat it.

Those are both very nice looking guns. You got a good enough deal on the 64 you are still OK on the 629 when you cost average. So that way if you get a real good deal on one gun that frees up money to buy a second one, right?

I think you got a good deal on two beautiful Smith's, I love those SS models. I would never find prices like that where I live. Enjoy.

If you overpaid for the 629, you more than made up for it with the 64. Even then, I don't see it (the overpayment)

And like others have said, it's chump change. An extra $50-100 for a gun you really want is nothing to worry about. Much better than spending years trying to find one after passing on it... I learned that one the hard way!
