Question UDR Holster options

For you folks with the UDR "Bloodworks" 627, what holster are you using or if you haven't got one yet, what are you planning on using? TIA

I got a Galco shoulder holster for it. Call and talk to them and they can fix you up. I also had one custom made by a local leather maker. He patterned it off an old Safariland holster I had for a K frame. It turned out pretty good. There are some very good custom makers who show up here, too.

I have a Galco 2 slot belt large frame revolver holster that I use to carry my 629 3 inch.
I have been carrying the 627 UDR in it, and it fits really well.

I found a holster that should work well for these.
Galco makes several holsters for the S&W 327 revolver.
They are for the 327 which is an 8 shot N frame. They are for a 2 1/2 inch barrel, but they should fit the 2 5/8 inch barrel.
De Santis makes a couple for the N frame, but they are for a 3 inch barrel. They should fit also.

I have two that I carry my 627-PC UDR in. The 1st one is made semi locally in N.C. by Murph's Custom Leather.

The 2nd one is cross-draw and I had Tom Dyer of Saguaro Gunleather in Kingman AZ make it. I also carry a 2.5" 629 and a custom 2.5" Colt 1917 in the Saguaro one.

Both holsters shown have my 627 in them...Craig Spegel grips.

Murph's Custom Leather strong side

Saguaro Gunleather Custom (made for strong side, converted to cross-draw)

I'm carrying this gun today in the cross-draw Saguaro.

UDR = Ultimate Defense Revolver.

The original UDR's were S&W Performance Center, model 627 8-shot 357 Magnums and were a Lew Horton exclusive. These did not have the internal lock.

The term Bloodwork is sometimes used for these since Clint Eastwood used one in the movie Blood Work in 2002.

Take care,
Bob S.
