Do factory J frame square butt target grips cover the backstrap of the gripframe?

Yes. Both the target and 'combat' grips cover the front and backstraps.

FYI The J frame targets will work on the round butt and the square butt frame!

The factory target stocks (flared at the bottom, fit both RB and SB) leave the upper grip strap exposed. The Combat finger groove style covers this area, at least the SB version I have.
