Default PD finish question

This may have already been asked, but I couldn't find it. I just got a 357PD. It has a few scratches and nicks in the finish. Is there anything I can do to make these less evident? I tried a Sharpie marker, but that didn't work. Any input would be appreciated.

On an aluminum part, Birchwood Aluminum Black might work.

Birchwood also makes (or used to make) flat black and gloss black touchup paint pens.

Good luck.
