Default Hogue logo?

Has anyone ever seen the Hogue/S&W rubber logo grips for the K/L frame with a square butt? I've only been able to locate said grips for round butts and round to square conversion. Any help is appreciated.

Cheers, Will

Yes. They have the Hogue logo, rather than the S&W logo. I bought them about 1991 or 92. I don't know what Hogue makes now.

S&W didn't start using Hogue grips until after they discontinued square butt guns, so the only Hogue grips with S&W emblems cast in are for round butt guns (including round to square conversions). The square butts all came from the factory with wood grips. Of course, Hogue makes their grips for square butt guns as well, but without the S&W emblem.

I have a Hogue Monogrip mounted on my 1992 vintage 617, which has the square butt grip frame. In my case, the previous owner had cut part of the grip away on the right side to clean an Aimtech sideplate mounted rail, so about 1/3 of the logo is MIA. Logo is for Hogue and on the right side only.

If you're asking if Hogue ever made this grip for hte square butt grip frame the answer is a definate yes. Also, they still make this grip and it's available on Hogues web site, see the following link.

S&W K or L Square Butt Rubber Monogrip [10000] - $24.95 : Hogue Inc., The Best Value In Handgun Grips, Rifle Stocks and Accessories - Bar None!

If your asking if this particular grip was ever offered with the S&W logo, that I cannot answer. From my reading on this forum, my 617 was originally shipped with wood target stocks and those were not with my 617 when I purchased it from a local dealer.

Default Thanks

I just posted this request this morning and already know more than I could have possibly imagined. Thank you to all who have replied. I have now purchased a set of regular Hogue square butt grips for this gun (617) but had wanted to match the S&W logo and right side cut-away that my 629 wears. I know it's a little thing but it just felt like it needed doing. I'll try out the regular Hogues and see how it goes.

Thanks again, Will
