Default New owner of a 625-8 .45ACP

New member here posting up. I have been researching a few different weapons and found this forum. I'm happy to report I have a new to me 625-8 PC .45ACP. I have shot it a few times and VERY impressed with the weapon. I must say as a routine auto user this is my first wheeler. I do have questions with some mods I'd like to do.

1) Has anyone ever down a DuraCote style finish? What's required for the tear down? Should I just forget doing the coating?

2) Where would I get an unfluted cylinder for this weapon?

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the M625.
I like stainless guns for shooting. Easy to clean and take care of. I'd leave it as is.
I don't recall seeing an unfluted cylinder for one of these guns but if there is one someone here will know.
Lots of members here love the M625s.

I thought I was pretty good with my Kimber but my first experience with my 625PC showed me what a real tack driver could do, very happy with mine.

Thanks for the reply. I love the look of the Thunder Ranch models so I wasn't sure what others may have done.

I got a good story about the first day shooting with it. My boy (18 years) decided to challenge me. My first shot was dead on center from 20 yds. Since he has a dominate eye issue he didn't do as well. LOL Should have seen the balloon deflate on that one. LOL
