3" K's
Well,
I know that the 3" K-frames have recently become popular again.
I took my 65 out for the first time in a long time and I have to say -- It was amazing!! I had forgotten how well they fit, balance and shoot! What a straight shooter. Definitely one of my favorites.
Anyway, if you have the chance to get one, definitely do. Here is a pic of my 65, although it now has a set of Hogue Bantams on it...Thought I would share

I have always loved a 3" RB, HB K frame. Have owned several 65s, 64s and a 13 in the past. Will be looking for another in the future when ever I get home. Smith still had the 3" 64 listed in Dec.

I like the 3" Ks as well. Currently have 65 and a 547. I even mimiced the 3" 65 with a 4" by rounding the butt. I like it better with the round butt, but not as much as the 3"

i have a blue one 357 mag ; mode 13?. payed $190 10 yrs ago: a police trade and it had a pro trigger job . best carry gun ever. in shoulder holster it is unnoticeable under a dress shirt. the only thing that comes close is a ruger sp101.

Gosh, I didn't know they'd recently become popular again! IMHO, they've always been special.
This one was my very first S&W revolver, and I'll never get rid of it. Truly a great handling, shooting and looking revolver . . . and the start of my love for all handguns with barrels starting with the number "3."

The 3" K guns are the cat's meow. This group is with wadcutters right hand barricade at 50 yards.

I started with a three inch 66-3 and then it got out of hand. I frequently rely on my 65 three inch for daily carry. I like the way it feels and I can shoot it pretty well.
P.S. this picture might get the prize for most posted pic in the forum. I'm too lazy to take new photos.

I like 'em too. I had a 13 3" and a 64 3" that I sold, but this 10-8 3" will stay. It's been converted to DAO by the LAPD Armory and was my off-duty gun.

I find it interesting how the oddball barrel lengths that no one wanted awhile back are now so popular-like the 3" and 5" 10s and the 2" M15. I remember a 2" M15 that sat on the shelf of the LA Revolver Club for over a year before someone took pity on it. Same with a 5" 27 and a 52. No takers (I bought the 52 and the 27 CHEAP).

I rented a model 65 3 inch back in the winter. Easily the best handling gun I have fired. Point and click, literally.
Seeing all of these just makes me want one.

Here's my 65-3. I love the RB factory target grips the best for shooting .38 speicals and the pach's for 357 mags. Now I need a 3" M36.
